I downloaded an ISO file and now I am trying to access it.

When I click on it the Windows explorer tab freezes. When I click around I get the sound prompt like I am supposed to click somewhere but I dont see any window pop up asking for anything.

I tried mounting it but the Windows explorer tab freezes again.

When you download ISO from net it could be blocked and it take time for File Explorer get over it.

    Check your ISO properties.

    1. Right-click on the file
    2. Select Properties
    3. Make sure you are in the General tab
    4. Press the Unblock button. (It is in lower right corner if it file is blocked.)
    5. Click Apply/OK and exit.
    6. The file will be unblocked.

Hi Ahmed. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

If you'll tell me what the ISO is for I can help you better.

Try double clicking it to mount it most directly.

If it hangs again then is anything else hanging in Explorer?

You can also try installing 7Zip to extract it:

Based on answers you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.
