No audio from all devices after cloning HDD to SSD

Recently, I have installed a new SSD M.2 to my custom PC. I cloned my old HDD to the new SSD. Everything worked perfectly EXCEPT for the audio. All audio will not work after reinstalling drivers, connecting bluetooth speakers, and reinstalling Windows. It shows that I have audio devices connected and are working, but when I play a test sound on the sound control panel, it plays no sound and the interface shows no output to the device even with max volume.

I tried the Get Help app and it played a beep sound that I could hear on my speakers, but could not resolve the issues.

It is not a hardware issue since audio was working before the cloning.

My PC specs:

Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z370-P II

CPU: i5-9400F

GPU: GTX 1650 OC

OLD HDD: SeaGate 3TB ST3000

NEW SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB

Please help me out as I need audio for my job.

Thanks for your reply. All drivers were working on Windows 11 until I cloned to the SSD. But I will try to reinstall the driver you mentioned

    Good Day Zack,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 11 pc and community member like you.

I checked your motherboard manufacturers website and it appears that they did not yet release a driver for your motherboard driver for Windows 11 version , you might be experiencing driver compatibility. The last time they release a driver is for Windows 10 version.

    Please see this link below.

    https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Mo...

You can try to use the old driver and check if it will work for you.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

-Expand the Sound and Video Game Controllers

-Look for Audio driver that was installed

    -Right click and Uninstall.

Once uninstalled go to this link and try to install the driver.

    https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/01AUDIO/D...

Once downloaded and installed restart and check the audio.

If issue persists, you can reach out to Asus and check if there are alternative drivers that you can use for Windows 11 version.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

    Hi Zack,

I'm sorry if the steps didn't work. It seems that the issue is complex than what I expected.

It may be best if I release your question to other advisors so they can take a look at it and let them share some other ways that can fix the issue.

You take care and keep safe always.

    Sincerely,

    Louie

Hello, I'm Louie, and I'm happy to help you today. Hope you're doing well and safe there.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble with your Audio. I would recommend first running the troubleshooter. This tool is designed to check for any misconfiguration on your drivers and repair them for you.

In the search box on the taskbar,

    • Type audio troubleshooter, select Fix and find problems with playing sound from the results, then click on Next.
    • Select the device you want to troubleshoot and then continue through the troubleshooter.

You may also launch the troubleshooter from audio Settings.

Select Start > Settings > System > Sound > Troubleshoot.

If you're still having issues with audio, you can refer to this support article for further troubleshooting.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/452028...

Hope this helps and looking forward for good results.

    Sincerely,

    Louie
