    Hi SSFUQ,

    Thanks for posting here.

Sorry that I am currently don't have any official information can help us to manually enter the Away Mode, but I think we might try staying the network connectivity when Windows is in sleep mode:

    1. Click Start, enter power plan and hit Enter.
    2. Click Change advanced power settings.
    3. Under the active power plan, find expand the option Networking connectivity in Standby and selet Enabled for both On Battery and Plugged in options.

If the Networking connectivity option is missing from power options, please try:

    1. Click start and type cmd, select Run as administrator from the right panel.
    2. Copy and paste the command below and hit Enter:

    powercfg -attributes F15576E8-98B7-4186-B944-EAFA664402D9 -ATTRIB_HIDE

    1. Restart Windows and see if we can found the option.

I hope this reply could address your question, or if there is anything unclear in my post, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks again and wish you a nice day!

I am not using the WiFi on this PC, so the "When plugged in, stay connected to Wi-Fi while asleep" is not available**.**

And S0 standby seems to be unavailable on my system for some reason:

    Standby (S0 Low Power Idle)

**The system firmware does not support this standby state.**

All I have managed until now is to have my computer wake up immediately as I set it to sleep, which is, obviously, not what I wanted. But if S0 is not available on my computer, then I suppose there's no way to achieve what I want, which is to have the computer in a very low power state, yet with the hard drives accessible from the network.

    Hi SSFUQ,

    Thanks for your reply.

Please help to confirm the Wi-Fi setting if you also use it:

    1. Click Start - Settings - System.
    2. Under Wi-Fi, check if When plugged in, stay connected to Wi-Fi while asleep is enabled.

If the settings are correct, you might want to confirm whether your Windows is currently support the S0 standby:

    1. Click Start, type cmd and select Run as administrator from the right panel.
    2. Type the command below and hit Enter:

    powercfg /a

    1. Please see if Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) Network Connected or Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) Network Disconnected is listed as an available sleep state on this system.

If your Windows run into any problem, you can also use this command to see what breaks the sleeping:

    powercfg /energy

I hope this reply could address your question, or if there is anything unclear in my post, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding, wish you a nice day!

    Best regards

I have activated and enabled the "Networking connectivity in Standby" option, but now the question is how do I make my PC standby? I can put it to "Sleep", and in this case my drives are not available on the network, so I suppose "Standby" refers to a different mode, but how do I get to it?
