Hello I recently got an issue with my Laptop recently and it's that it says "resetting this pc 37% it has been like this for surely more than 8 hours maybe even 10. The disk icon is intermittent but I don't know if I should wait or try powering off my laptop and turn it on because I'm afraid I'll get a blue screen everytime I'll try to boot it up.

    Hi NexusTN

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That reset operation is not going to complete, that should have finished in 3 hours or less, it has failed.

You have no other option, press and hold the power button on your PC for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a hard shut down, then wait a few seconds, then start your PC again.

The reset will either continue to completion, or it will roll back.

If that reset rolls back, you can start another reset if you wish, try this method:

Click the power button on your start button

Press the Shift Key and click Restart

Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Reset this PC

Choose to keep your files and apps, just your files or to keep nothing

    Then start the Reset

    Hi NexusTN

If there is no reset option, then the only option would be to perform a full clean install of Windows 10.

    Click this link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), you can create a bootable USB flash drive (min 8GB) using that tool

Then, Boot your PC from the Installation Media you just created (change Boot Order in your BIOS) to begin installing Windows 10

Since you previously had Windows 10 installed and activated on that PC during the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue, your PC will have a digital entitlement stored on the Microsoft Activation Servers
