The second monitor flickers and turns off

Hello, I have a laptop and I use a second monitor

I have noticed that when I browse certain web pages, my monitor turns off or flickers to off.

When I view those web pages on the Laptop screen, the second monitor turns back on and works fine. The laptop screen does not turn off or flicker.

The second monitor doesn't turn off when I'm watching videos or the like.

It turns off on certain web pages for no apparent reason.

When, for example, I play minecraft classic in the browser, there are times when it starts to flicker or turns off.

When I browse some web pages like a blog, sometimes it turns off.

I understand that it turns off playing minecraft classic because of the graphic requirements, but I don't understand why it turns off on web pages that don't cause any kind of unusual GPU or CPU consumption.

I have looked at the manufacturer's page and I have no drivers to install.

I use windows 11.

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Disable hardware acceleration in Google Chrome settings and test.

    1. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner and select "Settings";
    2. On the left side, expand the "Advanced" section and select the "System" panel;
    3. Disable "Use hardware when available";
    4. Then click "Relaunch".

    Hello David-M.

    I've checked for driver updates, like you told me, and Windows says the latest ones are installed.

    I have gone to the link and downloaded the recommended driver, but the problem persists.

    The monitor I use is an HP LE1091wi. Perhaps the cause is that my monitor is very old, but I have tried with a PHILIPS 223v monitor and the same thing happens.

    It seems that HP has not even made drivers available for Windows 10 for this model.

    See if you can update the driver using Device Manager:

    1. Press "Windows + X" and select "Device Manager";
    2. Expand "Display adapters";
    3. Right-click on the adapter "Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics" and select "Update driver";
    4. Select "Search automatically for updated driver software".

    If the problem persists, try installing the latest driver available from Intel.

    Hi Hal9000_A,

    I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    This behavior appears to be caused by the video driver.

    Please send your system information.

    1. Open Start, Type System Information, and select "System Information" from the list of results;
    2. Select "File > Save" and save the file in a location you can easily find;
    3. Upload the file to the cloud (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc...) and choose to share it to get the link;
    4. Post the link to the file here so it can be analyzed.

    Feel free to ask back any questions.
