I am trying to transfer a video from youtube to windows media and it says it is not supported, I hate to sound stupid, but I think the normal transfer features, like straight to facebook, such as the videos I made, may be missing something

    Hi LoriL.White,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

After understanding the problem you encountered, we tried to go to YouTube to find a way to save the video locally on the computer, but unfortunately, YouTube does not seem to open this option.

Due to YouTube restrictions, we cannot download videos to the computer, and Windows cannot interfere with the privacy design of web pages. You can present your idea to YouTube and let them decide whether to allow you to download the video to your computer. At the same time, Facebook is the same, when the video is processed by them, it is usually compressed, which is also Facebook's strategy. Windows also cannot intervene.

Thank you very much for your understanding.
