Aspire E5-576 Laptop
MS Windows 10 Home 64-Bit (Japanese)

In my laptop there is an option to install M.2 NVMe ssd.

In the market there are M.2 NVMe ssd with various capacity (GB/TB). How do I know what is the maximum capacity for my laptop. My present Hard drive (not SSD) is showing empty space of 324 GB.

Any advice/suggestions/help in this regard will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi Ari94

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There is no maximum size limit on a drive, if the drive fits into the slot in your laptop, then you an choose any size, there is no capacity limit on drives.

    Hi Ari94

With regards to brand name, it is best to choose the best drive you can afford, for example, Samsung, Kingstorn and Crucial would be among the best.

Hi Dave, thank you very much for the quick and easy to understand reply.

Do you think brand name matters when buying M.2 NVMe ssd, also when I search on internet for NVMe M.2 ssd
it has Gen4x4, 3D TLC NAND Gen 3x4, NVMe M.2 Tpe 2280 PCIe Gen3.0x4 what are all these and how to select one?

    Thank you.
