emails never delivered. trace shows up empty

Hi,

One of my user never receive an email on 2 occasions. According to Mimecast, it has been released. But we could not find it in his mailbox. Did a trace but came out empty.
What should I do to find out what happened, how to retrieve the missing emails and how to ensure this doesn't happen again.

    Hi guys,

    Thank you all for the quick reply for my ticket. I have found the emails. It is in the Microsoft Defender Quarantine box. Lesson learned, when do email tracing, use the extended report as it shows the status of the email and where it is.

    Do the Mimecast logs show your Exchange Server accepted the messages? Thats what you need to find out
