Hi Roland
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
Where are you viewing those photos, is that in File Explorer, or in the Photos App, or some other application?

Was it Apple or Microsoft who decided that when I view my iPhone pictures on a PC they are put in monthly folders?
AND how do I change it?
Thanks

Thanks Dave! I can't believe anyone would want all of the pictures in separate folders by month! Ugh! So if you want to just look through the library you have to open each month. At least on the iPhone, I can select how the pictures are displayed, they can be by year, month, day, by location (if location is enabled in the camera) or just the complete library...
Oh Well! Thanks again
Roland
Hi Roland,
Thank you for that information, I understand now, Microsoft had removed that function in the importing of photos and so many people asked for that function to be restored, they brought it back an there does not seem to be a way to change that, not even with a registry hack.
Hi Dave, I am using file explorer. for years it just showed the full library of pictures when I connected to the iPhone but lately it gives me a list of folders one for each month in which there are pictures. What a pain!
