I've read that the install for win 11 can take some time. Should I still be installing 24 hours later and only at 24%?

Well now its been 48 hrs since i started the upgrade. When i got to it this evening it had finally installed and needed the computer restarted in order to go to the next step. So now its been about 3 hrs since the restart and the screen says working on updates and its only at 21% completed. I.m now responding on my phone since its at a stage where i can.t access the laptop. I guess for now i.ll let it go through the night and hopefully by morning this phase of the install will be done.
So thanks for the follow through but i guess i.m on hold for another 10 hrs and we.ll see what the morning brings. Hopefully everything installed the way it should be.
I actually have rebooted a couple of times thinking I would get back to a screen where I get informed the install failed and no such luck. I can still use the laptop no issues there. I have a 2018 dell inspiron 15 5570 with Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8130U CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21 GHz. My internet speed test is coming back at 17 ms delay, 238.76 mbps download and 29.23 mbps upload. Its the only thing using the internet. I checked to see if I could revert back to the last update for win 10 and I also get a notice that states its been 10 days or more so it can't do it. I just didn't think it would take this long. Thanks for your reply.
Its now been at least 36 hrs and finally up to 91% installed. I'm beginning to wonder if i've entered the matrix or been taken up in the collective. this is nuts.
Good Day JacquelineWalker64,
My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 11 pc and community member like you.
Installing Windows 11 may depends how fast your internet and the speed of your computer, for an average computer it usually an hour or two to install Windows 11.
If there are no progresss at all you can try to reboot your computer, hopefully it is not corrupted becuase of the ongoing installation.
Keep me posted with the results.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.
Sincerely,
Carlo T.
