How do I turn off the HDR notification every time I launch a game? And why would anyone think it's a good idea to make it pop up every time?

    Go to System > Notifications

Then scroll down to Notifications from apps and other senders

Look for Auto HDR and toggle the button to Off.

I also find the Auto HDR notification annoying, and none of these suggestions work. Probably because the people answering the question haven't actually tried their solutions to see if they work, they're just copy+pasting canned responses.

There is no "Auto HDR" option.

I have disabled all the options that the notification notifies about. So I shouldn't be getting it. I find it obnoxious that it shows and plays the notification sound anyway, asking for my attention every time I launch an application it deems relevant.

I had the same problem. Turn off notifications from settings. This should make the auto HDR notification go away.
