I have used a third-party program to to clean and get rid off the useless things on my laptop, which turned out to delete the entirety of my downloads folder, and later checking the folder out resulted in me noticing that the downloads folder is in english other than turkish (my selected language), any help would be appreciated.

Hi John

1

Open File Explorer, then navigate into your user folder inside C:\Users

Right click in there and choose New - Folder and name that folder as you want the Downloads folder to be in your language.

2

Open the Registry Editor again, it will still be on the same page.

Double click {374DE290-123F-4565-9164-39C4925E467B}, replace the Downloads part of the Value Data with the name you picked for that new folder.

Save that, close the Registry Editor and restart (not shut down) your PC.

3

Open File Explorer, then navigate into your users folder again, does that new folder you created now have the Downloads icon?

if it does, you can delete the old wrongly named Downloads folder.

    Hi John,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.

Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on.

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Please provide a screenshot of that Registry Editor page.
