After Display turn off (StandBy) the windows cannot expand till taskbar. Snap windows bug.

In the control panel into power option I have the "turn off display" setting to 15 minutes. If happens that the PC is not used for more than 15 minutes the display turn off as usual and remain in standBy till I move or click the mouse or push a button on the keyboard. Everything is fine except when I use snap function, the windows doesn't go till the taskbar, but seems like there is an invisible line that block the windows to expand till the taskbar. if I manually move a window dragging it below this invisible line, I can drop the windows there but if the window is above this line and I try to extent its length I cannot reach the taskbar, I can move the bottom side of the window only to the "invisible line".

This happens also maximize through the icon in the windows bar.

The only way to get back to normal functionality is change resolution or scale size of the screen.

herea video to make the problem understandable (I hope)

someone has a solution to help me not have this problem anymore?

    Hi again -

I see. Try these fixes for snap layouts not working which seem to apply most to this bug:

If you want to report this bug to Windows 11 developers use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback. They will not even see it here. This is a tech forums staffed mostly by volunteers trying to help others with your problems.

You can also report it in the Windows 11 Insider forums which developers are known to monitor, and where Insiders may know more about this bug:

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Already tried everything you said, not working at all, if I drag down the two-headed arrow, it is blocked by the "invisible line" that I describe in the main post.

Hi Matteo. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

You'd only need to adjust resolution or display adapter if the desktop background didn't reach the taskbar. This is a windows sizing issue.

Try placing the mouse cursor on the bottom edge of the Window until it changes to a two-headed arrow, drag it down until it snaps to full screen or fills the screen. Do this in all directions if necessary.

Now press the middle Maximize button at top right corner of window a few times to program the window. Close and open it. Does it work?

If not I will give you fixes for window failing to resize properly, which is most often caused by a program/app conflict.
