Security scan required

Your administrator requires a security scan of this item. The scan could take up to 10 seconds.

I get this message from Windows Defender periodically. Especially when I'm playing video games. I would usually ignore it but it causes lag. windows defender spams this message 19-20 times and that causes lag spikes and low performance in my video games. I clicked on it but it does nothing but redirect me to this webpage -

It doesn't tell me what item. Please help.

    Hi,

    I'm Pedro A, Independent Advisor

Do you use any other antivirus protection or just Windows Defender?

Initially perform this procedure to restore Windows Defender Firewall settings

In the start menu, type CMD and choose the option "Run as Administrator"

When opening the Command Prompt, type:

    netsh advfirewall reset

Then restart your Windows and take a test

If the problem persists, access the event log and verify the reason.

Event Viewer > Applications and Services logs > Microsoft > Windows > Windows Defender > Operational
