Resolution messed up after new Nvidia geforce graphics update

So I just built a new pc, and updated the nvidia graphics driver. After doing so, my resolution zoomed in and stretched. I’m now limited to two resolution options, both of which aren’t the correct size. It works fine if I roll back the driver, but then the performance isn’t great for games and videos etc. Windows is fully updated, and my gpu is the rog strix rtx 3060.

Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

(I may need to update the bios, but i’m not sure how to do that. My motherboard is the Asus Tuf B560M-PLUS WIFI)

Hi. I updated the bios successfully, but the graphics driver still changes my resolution and I can’t turn it back without it being blurry (by using Nvidia Control Panel).

I don't know if it will make a difference but did you update the graphics card bios.

ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3060 OC Edition 12GB GDDR6 | Graphics Card | ROG Global (asus.com)

although it is from last year so you may have the latest anyway.

Have you checked in Settings > System > Display and make sure the Scale and layout are on the recommended setting.

I assume you have version 511.79 Nvidia driver.

in addition what version and build of Windows 10 do you have currently?

    Good Day Josh,

You can try to Intel diver, first uninstall the driver in device manager then go to this link and download and install the driver.

    Restart once done and check

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

Update: I uninstalled the graphics drivers with a program and then booted into safe mode without internet so that i could install the drivers without Windows Update getting in the way. This worked in safe mode, but as soon as i booted Windows normally, the resolution changed and was zoomed in and stretched again. I seriously don’t know what to do.
