How to convert RAW SSD to NTFS without losing data?

I just open my laptop and suddenly it wont boot up. It goes to BSOD then advance boot options and just loops until forever. I found out my SSD is the problem.

I tried plugging my SSD into another laptop using external enclosure and it only detects the SSD for a moment then disconnects it. Then I found out that both my partition in the SSD is RAW. So I have no idea what to do to fix this and the only way to access the SSD is through the old laptop's command prompt.

I have tried these methods:

  1. I tried converting it to NTFS using the old laptop's command prompt.
  2. I have tried a solution where people use Diskpart on command prompt to format the SSD. But that would remove all the data on the SSD. Many people claim that data recovery application does not recover back the wiped data.

Should I send my SSD to a data recovery center or is there any kind of paid application that can convert the RAW SSD to NTFS?

Hello, I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

You are correct that data which is formatted over is almost always unrecoverable.

There is a way to convert RAW to NTFS without data loss that sometimes works here:

    https://www.easeus.com/format-recovery/convert-...

I want to emphasize that RAW generally means a ruined drive so one would need to rely on their backup. Conversion is possible but is not assured.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

I wish there was something more I could do for you, but RAW usually means ruined.

There is one other tutorial here that might be worth a try:

    https://www.m3datarecovery.com/raw-to-ntfs/

Otherwise there is a great SSD on sale on Amazon right now here:

    https://www.amazon.com/PNY-CS900-240GB-Internal...

You can do this gold standard Clean Install which compiles the best possible Install of Windows which will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given, has zero reported problems, and is better than any amount of money could buy: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki.... Read over it first, take notes, ask back any questions so you're prepared.

In the Setup steps toward the end of the tutorial are easy free backup suggestions so you never have to go through this again.

Hello, thank you for your time. I have already found that article. But the problem is that when I connect the SSD to another computer, it detects the SSD for a while then suddenly it doesn't. Therefore, even if I used any software, it wont detect the connected SSD. This is maybe due to the fact that the SSD is RAW.
