Windows 11, Headphones Left channel and Right channel cannot be independently controlled

Using Sony WH-1000XM3's connected via Bluetooth

Bluetooth Core Specification 5.2, via What Bluetooth version is on my PC? (microsoft.com)

Originally I was having trouble getting stereo sounds on the headphones working at all (they worked perfectly in Windows 10), but they magically started working now. (Tested this by going to the control panel sounds settings).

In this screen, moving the Left/Right channel cannot be done independently, probably a bug?
