How to transfer everything from one Microsoft account to another?

Hi all - I've 2 Microsoft accounts. One has everything I need (not just files but settings, saved passwords etc, basically my world!) and the other has pretty much nothing but that's the one with the active subscription and that's the one I want to be using with everything from the other one - is this possible or am I just dreaming? Tried the advanced system settings and copying profiles etc but everything is greyed out.

Hi Meta. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

You can never merge MS Accounts online. The most you can do is add a brand new MS Account as an Alias and set it primary. But it won't let you add an existing MS Account to merge them this way because they've never allowed this for some Security reason they don't divulge.

So what I'd do is stick with the account that has everything except the subscription, then cancel the subscription on the other account and subscribe using the keeper account. Here's how to cancel a MS Subscripton:

In WIndows you can change the MS account by first changing it to a Local Account at Settings > Accounts > Your Info > Sign in with a Local Account Instead. Let it convert, restart PC then go back to the same place to Sign in with a MS account instead and add your new MS Account.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Report back results for more steps if necessary. If this is not exactly what you need, please explain a bit more so I can help you better. Otherwise feel free to ask back questions and keep me posted on your progress as I will be here to help until this is resolved.

I am in serious trouble. I have been in total despair since this past Monday. Not eating, sleeping, working, etc... (not being dramatic, just real.) I am not very technical. I accidently permanently deleted a very important file off my desktop, I had pulled it out of my drive. I was told by an "expert" to do a System Restore. In the midst, the computer plug was unplugged, and an update was going on (that I didn't know). I tried to turn on my computer to start my work. It was in some kind of fixing loop. I started looking for help... which is sometimes really hard, when you don't know the right technical questions to ask.

Anywho, it would let me get into the advanced trouble shooting, I tried all possible things I had been told to try. It kept coming back to the same thing. I did the create the tool thing, followed the instructions, etc... it didn't work, tried many days and nights. On the third night, HOPE it was working, only when it started up, EVERYTHING was gone. I reached out to MCRS for help. I got an agent from WNDS who was helping me fix things, he assured me everything could be fixed. Again, HOPE. We got disconnected, he tried calling me back 5 times, my ringer was off (dismay and despair) I got back on with MCRS who insisted I could not get back to the agent who was fixing things, but they could help. Two hours later, no help and told a Tier 2 agent would call within 2 hours. Four hours later, an agent called and really messed up what had started being fixed. I was called back by someone different, only to be told, to bad so sad.

It is now the sixth day, and I am in such despair I don't know what to do. After all this (which is not really all) I guess you're wondering what the heck are you asking. I'm not sure. The WNDWS agent who was helping me was restoring all my files was then going to get the "permanently" deleted file and wipe off the tool and set a restore point back to when everything was working. Now, after the MCRS agents did what they did, nobody wants to help me. They tell me now, none of that can be done. Too bad, so sad. This is causing some serious things to spiral out of control, I have sick people counting on me, a job, I now can't do, and that file is so important, it's scary.

Truly, I am in such despair, I really didn't know this place even existed (duh) and then even when I did, I was afraid to put anything here because it is MCRS, etc... still wondering what the heck is your question weird person... I am too. I just need help and after this whole week, day and night of trying this and that, getting the WNDS agent who had been fixing everything and then the MCRS agents messing it up and just leaving me with too bad, so sad, I decided what the heck can it hurt if I just reach out to you and see if you can help me somehow.

Well, there it is. I'm sure, you're probably wishing you hadn't even read all this and still have no idea of what my question is and so am I. Maybe, with any luck, somehow you will find a way to find whatever I am asking and be able to advise me somehow. If you don't respond, I will understand because I am so lost myself. But if you are kind enough to respond and advise me in some direction that I might be able to go, I would be truly grateful. This probably won't make sense but what has? Lives are depending on this being resolved. Again, so dramatic (I sincerely apologize). It really is not me being dramatic, just real. I appreciate you and any help you may be able to offer. The above that you replied to is something like what happened to me after the MCRS agent took over my accounts were "merged" but not really. Just lost. Please help me if you can.
