The minimum system requirements for Windows 11 is at least 8th Gen processors (except for very few 7th Gen processors). This is to meet Microsoft principles about security and reliability. There has been no new announcement from Microsoft yet if they plan to add more processors to the list.

In addition to that, According to a Microsoft Executive, Even though these lower generations [of processors] also have Trusted Platform Module (TPM) encryption and secure boot capabilities, they are missing reliability and performance optimization. You can check the link below for more details.
