I have an old HP laptop that had the old windows movie maker pre-installed on it. Is there a way I can download it to a flash drive to install on my new HP desktop?

It is a Pavillion Notebook 7 with Windows 7.

I purchased this HP Laptop and the Windows Moviemaker on it. I don't like the new Windows Photos that now come with Windows, because I have them. I will continue to use it on my old laptop. If I can find a way to put it on my new computer I will do so. Thank you for your input though.

This is not possible, and is technically against the license terms.

Movie Maker is not available for download on Windows any longer.

    • Windows Movie Maker, part of Windows Essentials 2012, is no longer available for download. Websites that offer free downloads of Movie Maker are not offering the real thing, and those downloads may contain malware, viruses, or hidden costs.
    • Instead, try making movies with the Photos app that comes with Windows. The latest version of the Photos app includes the ability to create and edit videos with music, text, motion, filters, and 3D effects. Visit Microsoft Store for more video creation and editing apps.
