Alex, I'm glad you found the problem. We do see issue with Nvidia GeForce Experience at times. If it's not needed to maintain settings that Windows can't then I don't recommend keeping it or any other driver bloatware.
Windows 10 Auto-Hide Taskbar Not Working Properly
Hello. On my PC, I have my taskbar set to autohide, but recently, it doesn't pop up if a window is maximized or touching the bottom of the screen. To make the taskbar appear, I either have to go to the desktop and then scroll my mouse down, or I have to hit the Windows button.
What used to be the case is that I could have a maximized window and easily move my mouse down to the bottom of my screen, and the taskbar would pop up. What setting could've messed this up?
If I create a new user on my computer, it works as I expect rather than how it works on my current user, which leads me to believe the issue is being caused by a setting difference between my user and a new user.
Below is a picture of how it looks if I have a Google Chrome instance maximized on half of my screen. If I move my mouse down to the bottom of the screen on the left side, the task bar does not appear. I have to go to the right side, where the literal desktop is showing, in order for it to appear. Alternatively, I can press the Windows key. Since I typically have one Chrome instance snapped to the left and another on the right, this is extremely inconvenient needing to press the Windows key every time for the taskbar to appear. This is not how it should be working. Could someone please help me fix this issue?

2022-02-03T23:37:46+00:00 Hi again Greg. I tried the relevant solutions outlined in the links you sent, and none of them seemed to fix the issue--editing notifications, restarting Windows Explorer, turning the setting on and off, etc. Any other suggestions before I try recreating my user?

2022-02-03T05:22:10+00:00 Alex, those fixes work for fixing task bar auto-hiding and unhiding. It's for when it gets stuck one way or the other.
So I would try a few of them to see.
Keep me posted on your progress as I will be here to help until the case is resolved.

2022-02-03T05:18:50+00:00 Hi Greg. Thank you for your thorough and thought out response! I want to clarify, however, that my taskbar is actually auto-hiding as expected--it's just not unhiding itself as expected. So if I have a Google Chrome window open and maximized, for example, if I scroll to the bottom of the screen, the taskbar doesn't pop up like it used to. However, on the new user, I can have Google Chrome open and maximized and still move my mouse to the bottom of the screen and have the taskbar pop up as it's supposed to.
Do you have any helpful tips to try first for this issue before I try the user migration?

- You actually solved the problem already by proving the account is corrupted which is a common issue we deal with here many times per day. The solution is to create a new Admin Local Account, if it works correctly move your files over via C:\Users, then when ready delete the old account if you need to move your MS Account to the new one in Settings > Accounts > Your Info > Sign in with a MS Account instead. Otherwise you can keep the old account as a backup or to make sure nothing is left behind.
- However Task Bar not Auto-hiding is a known issue so you might want to try these other fixes first even though you've already found a fix:

- You can also see if it fixes it to System Restore to a point before the problem began following this guide: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-system-r...
System Restore is your first line of defense and can take you back to a point before a problem began like a time machine. If it doesn't help then you can undo it. Read about it first in the tutorial above and then try restoring to just before this started.
If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here which I would install now so it's ready:

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.
