Sudden increase in idle Ram Usage after Updating Windows 11

Hello Microsoft Community,

I have a desktop PC running an AMD Ryzen 3800X with 32 GB of RAM with a 3600Mhz Clock.

Previously, When running Windows 10, Standard CPU and RAM usage was around 20% & 35%.

After upgrading to windows 11, it went up to around 35% and 45%. However, after the latest

windows update a couple of days ago, CPU usage went down to around 15% but the RAM usage

spiked way higher to around 70% on idle. Has someone else experienced this as well??

I suspected malware or some sort of Virus but windows defender scan says my PC is clean.

Can someone help me sort this issue out????? Is this some unintended consequence of the update???

Latest update: 2022-03 Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)

Thanks

    Good Day Utham,

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, you can try to scan your computer using the free version of Malwarebytes scanner to check if there are malware or adware running in your system.

    Here's the link to download.

    https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thank...

Once downloaded and installed open the app and perform a scan and check for infection.

Once the scan is done restart your computer using clean boot.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-t...

    Restart and check the usage.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T

Thank you very much For your help. My RAM Usage is now much lower that it originally was. I had to enable a few additional services from ASUS and NVIDIA in System Configuration and enable a few Startup apps for NordVPN but it's now idling at 10% CPU and 20% RAM.

This is what my current Task manager looks like. I'm running only Chrome. The Rest are all running in the background
