For the last few days, whenever I opened Windows Media Player, another window opened saying there was an error or there was an update. I don't remember which one it was, probably an error. When the troubleshooter run to fix the problem I applied the fix and it said the problem was Media Library had been corrupted. But after applying the fix I could no longer open any media file in Windows Media Player. What should I do?

    Hi Stark

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Open the Settings App, then go to Apps - Optional Features.

Find Windows Media Player in the list and uninstall it from there.

Restart (not shut down) your PC, then go back into Optional Features, click 'Add a Feature' and add back Windows Media player.
