How do I turn off the beeping sound when I press the volume keys when a Bluetooth device is connected?

Как отключить звук пикающий при нажатии клавиш регулировки громкости при подключенном bluetooth устройстве?

I try to disable all sounds in windows sounds with scheme (no sound), but this did not do anything in my case. the standard sound does disappear and if i change the volume by clicking the slider in the system this sound disappears. i am talking about the beeping when i press the volume control hotkeys on my laptop. and this was before on asus ux501vw laptop when i pressed fn+f112/f12 also to adjust the volume. and it works just with bluetooth speakers or headphones.

This is a continuation of the branch https://answers.microsoft.com/ru-ru/windows/forum/all/%D0%BA%D0%B0%D0%BA/83b43c39-baa7-4dbd-877c-162fbf6d975b

The same problem is often encountered but no one has ever been able to fix it. for example:

https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Disable-beeping-sound-when-changing-Bluetooth-audio-volume/m-p/561053

in addition I realized that no one can not what this prollem, so I recorded a video and uploaded to the cloud https://youtu.be/ImCAql9-cQc so you can play it and hear what I mean, like many thousands of users of bluetooth devices in winds, here is the video.

It started with Windows 10 and continued with Windows 11.

Can you please tell me how to turn this off?

    Hi true181,

I'm Rodrigo and I will help you.

Usually, this sound comes from the Bluetooth device, not from Windows.

One way to disable this behavior is using changing the registry to disable the Absolute Volume feature (changing the volume on Windows changes the volume on the device too) without it, each device has its own volume controls, and the volume will not beep when changed on Windows

Follow the steps on the link below to disable the absolute volume.

Как отключить звук пикающий при нажатии клавиш регулировки громкости при подключенном bluetooth устройстве?

Откройте приложение "Редактор реестра".  (win+R, затем введите regedit и нажмите Enter)

    Перейдите к следующему ключу реестра.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Bluetooth\Audio\AVRCP\CT

Windows 10.

Thanks Rodrigo! This one really helped! A huge number of people are facing this problem. I was suffering for several years and did not know what to do, the solution really helped! I quote the solution to this problem here:

Open the Registry Editor app.  (win+R, then type regedit and press Enter)

    1. Go to the following Registry key.
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Bluetooth\Audio\AVRCP\CT
    2. On the right, modify or create a new 32-Bit DWORD value DisableAbsoluteVolume.
Note: Even if you are running 64-bit Windows you must still create a 32-bit DWORD value.
    3. Set its value to 1 in to disable the Absolute Volume feature.
    4. Restart Windows 10.
