This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Can someone please tell me IF these emails are legit?? I have been posting them for a while on another board too but they told me its not the place for it.
Right now they are blocked and keep going to spam but this one today LOOKS REALLY legit.

As already mentioned by others, these messages are most likely fakes for a number of reasons, but I'm curious why your email client isn't displaying the true email address when you hover over the 'friendly address' of Microsoft account team.
What exact email client are you using? You stated you "do not use Outlook", but that's the only email system Microsoft has for consumer users today. Hotmail was acquired and absorbed over a decade ago, renamed at least twice and the web version currently titled "Oulook.com", though it continues to support multiple legacy domains including Hotmail, Live, MSN and possibly others I've forgotten.
What I really want to know though is precisely which client, either web or otherwise you're using, since few of these don't display the true email address hidden behind.
The other thing you could do is hover over (of course not click) the links in each message to see where those are directed, since they'll likely be to 3rd-party websites designed to capture the fact that you've responded.
In fact, it's common for both the Yes and No responses in the first message to go to the exact same URL, though as you've noted, these particular messages are much more meticulously written than most, with well written English and spelling, so those techniques won't work to confirm these.
I suspect for other reasons mentioned on that official Microsoft page referenced in my other post that Joe referred to above that these are still fake. But it's always safe to go directly to the official Microsoft Account page as follows to confirm whatever the message is stating, since that's the only official location for this information anyway.
Microsoft account | Sign In or Create Your Account Today – Microsoft
< EDIT > Note that the information mentioned in these messages should all be found under 'Security' on the account page, either the Tab in the top menu bar or similar labeled section below.
Rob
It's obviously a scam.
Two tips which will help you to identify the password change alert scam mails:
Check @RobKoch's reply for the 'account added' mail: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/all/message-in-junk-mail-supposedly-from-microsoft/806ac548-3421-4fd5-9dc5-d23ff6492058
Thanks for the info Kevin. helpful for the acceptable domain BUT the above email - HAS NO DOMAIN. I hover over the name and nothing is there.
I have been getting other emails that I have posted at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/spam-very-suspicious-emails-these-hotmail-emails/31d7bf0e-a252-4ba9-a79b-40a6f3c71516 and those have email addresses unlike the above that just says "Microsoft account team"
I NEVER click on any of these email links, BUT it sure would be good if I knew ITS OK OR NOT. Gmail sends you a text message to confirm it was you. these emails from Microsoft especially the above look VERY Legit.
Hi apppro(2)-
I'm Kevin B. Windows user like you. I do apologize for the inconvenience, let me help you sort things out.
Kindly don't trust any email saying that their from Microsoft Team. If the domain is different then their not from Microsoft.
