Where can I find a list of acronyms for Windows that defines BSOD, SSD, MUI, etc. ?

    See Paul Navera's reply and let me add that BSOD, SSD, MUI are not acronyms. They are abbreviations (sometimes called initialisms). An acronym is an abbreviation that is pronounced as if if were a word. BSOD, for example, is not; it is pronounced bee-ess-oh-dee.. Radar, for example, is an acronym; it is pronounced RAY-dar.

    Many people think the difference I point out is meaningless. I disagree. Using correct definitions is very important, especially if you do a search for something on the internet. If you use the wrong name for something in a search, you may never find what you're looking for.
