Is it possible to make dual boot and install windows 8.1 with windows 10 ? windows 10 is already installed and I want to add a dual boot for windows 8.1

Spent days hours to try to running battlefield bad company 2 again and nothing worked.

When installed windows 7 as the installing started the keyboards and mouse didn't work.

When installed windows 8.1 I could install the game and play it but windows 8.1 never gave me the option to upgrade to windows 10 even with the microsoft creation tool.

My pc is a new one so I have only usb 3 ports so windows 7 can't be installed on usb 3 only usb 2.

The idea was to install the game either on windows 7 or 8 where the game is working and then to upgrade to windows 10 not to make new clean install of windows 10 but to upgrade but no success on that.

Since there is no support anymore for windows 7 and 8.1 and no support for battlefield bad company 2 but these still on sale windows 8.1 is on sale but no support.

Also battlefield bad company 2 is on sale but without support.

It's so great to buy products and never get support on them.

The only way I can think of now is to make a dual boot and then each time I want to play the game to restart the pc and switch to windows 8.1 when I want to make other stuff switch back to windows 10.

I can stay and work with windows 8.1 but not sure if it's safe for stuff like unity3d and visual studio csharp.

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

I think you will run in to a number of issues trying to dual boot 8.1 and 10, I would suggest creating a virtual machine and then installing 8.1 on this.

If you have the Pro edition of Windows 10 you can use Hyper-V if not then you can use something like VirtualBox.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
