Keyboard "y" letter does not appear when typed on screen . Works on other devices but not this PC.

The "y" key on my keyboard random does not register when using typed. Plugged it in on laptop and it works fine there, but not on this PC. Must be some software preventing it bc I was working fine a few weeks before. I could use some help because this is driving me insane. Thank u.

    I actually was able to solve the problem. I found that the key was remapped using an input tester and that was causing the problem so I deleted it and now it works. Thank you so much for your help.

    My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

    Here's the steps you can try.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Settings

    -Click Update and Security

    -Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter.

    -Look for Keyboard and run the troubleshooter.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

    -Expand the Keyboard

    -Look for Keyboard driver that was installed

    -Right click and Update

    -Look for "Browse my computer for driver

    -Let me pick drivers available drivers

    -Choose an old driver and use it.

    Restart and check.

    If issue persist, let's download the updated driver.

    What is the exact model of your computer?

    To check the system model proceed with these steps.

    -Press Windows key + R

    -Type msinfo32 and hit enter.

    -Look for the System Model and manufacuturer and post it here.

    I tried booting in Safe Mode and the issue persists in even Safe Mode.
