I do not want my Your Phone App on my Windows 11 PC to start automatically, but I am unable to find a way to disable this. It is not listed on the Startup tab of Task Manager. It is not listed in Settings->Apps->Startup. However, it starts automatically when I boot. Please tell me how I can prevent it from starting.

    I got it.

    Launch Your Phone>Settings>General

    Badges>Off

    Banners>Hide All Content

That did the trick for me, Your Phone stopped appearing in the notifications area.

If I disable badges and banners, then I won't have visible notifications for any of my apps, which I need. Thanks, but this isn't going to work for me.

    Claude......H,

    1. Check and turn off the App Startup in the app. (This is a new feature of Your Phone on Windows 11)

    1. Temporarily close the third-party security programs and optimization software that may exist under the system (with firewall nature), and perform a clean boot on your system: Win+R -- enter msconfig – press Enter -- click on Services -- check to hide Microsoft services -- Click Disable All -- Reboot the device, and confirm if the problem solved.
    2. Press and hold Windows+X to run Windows PowerShell (Administrator), and execute the following commands in sequence:

    sfc /SCANNOW

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Allow the process to finish and see if it solves any issues. Restart the device afterward.

    Claude......H,

Press Windows + R > Type: shell:startup > Press Enter to check if Your Phone is in the list. If so, delete it to see the effect.
