Hello. I’ve tried DDU before. I installed an older driver (from november last year) and it works no problem. I’m very confused
Limited to Resolution after Nvidia Graphics update
I just built a new computer with an rtx 3060. I installed the newest driver and it screwed up my resolution. I’m now limited to two options only for resolution and both are incorrect sizes. Also, after the update, it no longer displays my monitor name and just says Digital Display, and instead of saying it’s connected via HDMI, it says DVI. I’ve tried everything to fix it. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers normally. I’ve also tried to uninstall the drivers with a program without wifi, boot into safe mode (so that windows update doesn’t take over and install drivers automatically), and install the drivers there. It worked fine in safe mode, but when I boot into Windows normally it changes back again. Is Windows stopping the graphics card somehow? This is driving me crazy, please help it’d be much appreciated.

2022-03-17T13:53:42+00:00 I will do that when I’m able to. But here are some questions. Would I maybe have to update my monitor driver? Also, after the graphics card update, why doesn’t it display the name of my monitor anymore? It now just says Digital Display and says it’s connected via DVI and not HDMI. Before updating, it showed my monitor’s name and that it was connected via HDMI.

2022-03-17T07:39:11+00:00 It shouldn't affect it. Can you instead then try and remove the power plug from the socket and your monitor, give it about 15 seconds and then reconnect them. Sometimes the capacitor I believe can cause issues with monitors. It might sound trivial to do this but could help.

Can you try a different display out port on your GPU?
