    Hi Everyone,

Finally I have found this forum, and it is good to know, I am not alone with this problem.

I have upgraded to Windows 11, every application is starting fast, except CS:GO, after launching, for a 10 secs at least nothing is happening.

Also tried to turn on/off game mode, give csgo.exe high priority in Task Manager, reinstall the game, and the whole Steam, but nothing happened.

Reverting back to Windows 10 for me would be not an option, because I already did it once (because of this CS:GO problem), and my Remote Desktop Connection client got corrupted, which I am using regulary. Now with Windows 11 it is solved, but I am facing with the CS:GO startup issue again.

I can live with that temporary, just wanted to raise voice and let MS developers know, there is something wrong.

    Gabor

I'm having the same issue here. With a stopwatch in hand, it seems like the game takes near exactly 20 seconds to launch on a clean fresh Windows 11 instance, while on Windows 10 it took 3s. It doesn't seem to be storage related, as the game takes the exact same time to start on a fast NVMe SSD and on a mechanical hard drive.

    I've tried many things.

    • Clean boot (all startup items disabled, all non-MS services disabled)
    • Updated drivers for everything
    • Latest BIOS, SSD firmware
    • Windows 11 fully updated
    • Toggling game mode on or off
    • Disabling core isolation

    To no avail.

Do you already find the solution?

    I just built my PC

    Specs are:

    Ryzen 5 5600x

    2x16GB DDR4

    B550 phantom gaming Asrock

    GTX 1070

    Samsung 970 EVOplus 1TB

It takes from 25-30seconds to first launch of the CSGO, and another 5seconds for having inside the main menu.

The other game i have start just few seconds after i click. Only CSGO have this issue

3x clean windows (format the ssd, and reinstall windows)

all BIOS, firmwares, and drivers all are updated and included the chipset amd driver update for Windows11 previous issue.

    It is still the same.

My past pc was i7 4790k with 2x8gb and same 1070 only take few seconds to launch, and it is in windows 10.

I don't know if this is windows 11 related issue, or the ryzen+windows 11 issue.

Hi, I'm Mario, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

We are sorry about what happened.

Since you did a clean install of windows and still the problem continues, let's do a clean boot of windows to see if it is some program conflict, ok?

    ========

    Initialization clean:

    1. Press the Windows + R keys, type MSConfig and click Ok.
    2. On the Services tab, click Hide Microsoft Services.
    3. Click Disable All.
    4. On the Program Startup tab, click Open Task Manager.
    5. Disable all applications, one at a time.
    6. Apply the changes and restart the equipment.

Note: This process will not affect the operation of your applications, they will just not start with the operating system. Later, you can activate them again.

    ========

After disabling everything, start only CSGO and check if it starts faster.

    Kind Regards,

    Mario B.
