This could be caused by the video driver.
If your video card is integrated, download the driver from the support area of the HP website.
If your video card is dedicated, download the driver from the chip manufacturer's website (Nvidia/AMD).
If your laptop has both an integrated and a dedicated graphics card, I suggest you update the drivers for both.
If you cannot find the correct driver, provide your computer model. If you have a dedicated video card, let me know its manufacturer and model.
