So im using a TV connected to an hdmi on an geforce rtx card and for some reason when i launch some game in full screen for example red dead 2, black desert, battlefield 2042, rogue company, the in game resolution is at 2560 by 1440p which is what im playing at currently but on the information bar on my tv( hisense u8g) 55' shows it at 3840 by 2160p even though l it display 1440p in game.. i would either have to switch refresh rates or go back in and out of input 3 of my tv... I have already contacted Hisense about the issue and they sent me a TV firmware which didn't help and i also reinstalled nividia geforce drivers through ddu and did a reinstall of windows 11 as well.

Ps. It did work just fine at first and this problem started out of nowhere so i don't know whats going on...

Both my active and desktop resolution is at 2560*1440p 120hz

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

Not sure if your problem has been solved? It seems that the main reason for your problem is still on the TV, you can continue to try to contact the official staff of the TV for more help.

    Best regards

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

The best thing to do at the moment is probably to get a different TV or change your graphics card to a different computer to try to rule out where the problem really lies.

    Hi

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

From what you describe, is it possible that the default output resolution in your Nvidia graphics card driver settings is not properly set or customized. Because not sure when and why your problem appeared. Seems to be more likely to be a driver problem.

Or use the custom resolution settings in the Nvidia driver panel to force the resolution to 1440p and see if that works.

Looking forward to your further news.

    Best regards
