Mouse lights are turned on but cursor not moving

I have a Logitech gaming mouse which has RGB lights. I'm using Windows 11.

So whenever I plug it in laptop USB ports, lights turn on and the mouse works.

But since a few days, I'm noticing only the lights turn on, cursor doesn't move. It happens suddenly. It doesn't happen always, but often.

What I have tried so far (nothing worked):

  • Clean Boot
  • Restart PC
  • Uninstall / Reinstall USB drivers
  • Try with other ports
  • Change Power options in Device Manger for USB Root driver
  • Try a different mouse

However, the mouse starts working when I restart my PC. But it's irritating as I have to do it every time it stops working.

Further, I'm sure my laptop ports are not defective as other external devices like keyboard, camera file transfer through USB works fine. Also, mouse is also fine as I've tried multiple mouse but same issue.

It's definitely Windows 11 that is culprit. So what's the problem and how to fix it?

PS: Please don't tell me to reset or reinstall my Windows. That's one of the worst solution.

Yes but it's very obvious and not worth suggesting. A frustrated Windows user always have to do that. Please don't take it personally because I'm also frustrated at the moment.

Secondly, my laptop touchpad works fine at the moment mouse cursor is not working.

Can you report this in the Feedback Hub too please?

Do you notice this behaviour on another computer too?

No. I'm noticing it in Windows 11 only. I guess it started happening after some update which I don't remember.

The best answers come from Logitech.com. Create an online account and Register your device. You will then be able to download Logitech Software that will not only update the driver for your device but will keep it updated.

They are also very friendly and helpful and will get back to you if you are unlucky and get a Tech that isn't up on the game yet.

I only see you having trouble if they haven't any windows 11 drivers yet. I am still using the same old mouse and keyboard-a wireless set- that I have had for years with Windows 10!

I have this same issue. Cursor freezes randomly when using touchpad. Is this a windows 11 issue? How do I fix? Thinking of returning my new computer.
