My laptop stopped connecting to my home Wifi but my phone still connects with no issue.

One day I came home to the massage on my laptop "connected with no internet." I proceeded to restart my computer which didn't work then I forgot the network and tried to reconnect but it kept telling me "can not connect to this network." I've since disconnected from the wifi on my phone and reconnected to make sure the password was still the same and was successful. It's been maybe 3 weeks now and I'm still having this problem.

I have an Acer Aspire E5-511P running windows 10. I've tried resetting my networks, changing frequency bands, updating, uninstalling, and reinstalling my network drivers, and even resetting my computer but nothing has worked. I'm currently connected through an ethernet cable with no problem but would like to have this problem solved so I can use my laptop all around the house. Please help.

Hi Paloma, unfortunately I've already tried these to no avail. I tried each again just now, with the exception of upgrading my BIOS as that is a risk of me bricking my laptop, and none have solved the issue. Is there any possibility that I have been blocked via ip address from the wifi?

Hello Jan and I'm very sorry for the late reply. I'm confused about one of the steps as I don't have Ad Hoc Channel 802.11. I have both 802.11b Preamble and AdHoc 11n as available properties. None of which give me a numbered option to change to.
