Have a look at this thread:
Lumia 640 LTE !
I have had my Lumia 640 LTE mobile phone for quite awhile now I have been into settings and I see that I am on Windows 8.1. It does not seem to allow me to update to "10" ! Another concern is the fact Internet Explorer could soon be finishing so unsure what I should do ! I went into my mobile phone shop a few years ago to buy a new phone. They told me that they could not transfer all my contacts over to a new phone ! Even though I had purchased this phone from them they no longer sold Microsoft phones ! At the time I did not relish putting "all" my contacts and details into a new phone ! I decided to stay with the one I had and walked out the shop ! I guess the question now is how long have I got with this phone ?
Any advice would be welcome !

2022-05-10T14:07:13+00:00 Hi 93tid, thanks for all the info much appreciated. Considering the age of the phone I think it's time for a change ! Although I am a big Microsoft fan I can't see me getting another Microsoft mobile !
Thanks again

Just a thought !

2022-05-05T15:47:12+00:00 Hi 93tid, thanks for that ! It took some digesting but I guess it's time to bite the bullet and buy a new one ! I actually do just the opposite on my laptop, always looking for updates and trying to keep it trouble free ! I guess it was a shock today when I realized my mobile was on Windows 8.1 !!
Thanks again
