How to stream media (specifically audio) from an Android device to PC, digitally, over USB?

On my setup and in my use cases, i need to listening audio that coming from my Phone, on my PC. Alternatives like Bluetooth has stability issues on connectivity and the streaming is lossy. I need a way such that my Android devices routes the inner audio to the PC and i should be able to listen both what's going on in my Computer and what haves been streamed from my Smartphone, without every time changing, plugging/ unplugging my Headphone, audio system etc. Considering modern phones do not have 3,5 mm Analog audio output, setting aside the quality loss because of multiple conversion happening this way, plugging the Phone over USB to a PC has its advantages like charging the phone simultaneously and making it easy to transfer data.

I couldn't find any way to achieve this goal and it came to me as if i need to write a program that tricks my phone to see my computer as an audio reciever, a DAC etc., via making the on use USB port to change its behaviors to UpNP (Universal Plug and Play).

I am also open to other suggestions for streaming the media from another devices losslessly as possible, to be monitored from one central unit for efficient multitasking.

I've made an app that does this. You simply download the client on your PC and the server on your Android device, then you'll be able to stream the audio over Wi-Fi or USB.

Note that it requires Android 10 and some apps don't allow their audio to be recorded.

You can get it from https://audiorelay.net.

If you need to get the mic audio from android phone, to win10 ; have a try at Wolicheng "WO mic" app ! You setup the app on both devices and it shares mic input over usb/wifi/wifidirect/bt.

I can't get it to forward my BT headset audio input connected on the phone ; to win10 womic client ; and will try other softwares in that category from now.

I came to that cause connecting any headset to windows over bt is a freakin' nightmare, even on bt5.0/bt5.2 hardware. It seems to be a bt norm limitation, existing since years... But I'm out of your topic now !

That all I can bring to the table, I hope it ll help...

-Hi, my name is Claudeir, I'm happy to help you!

The system does not provide a way to do this ''mirroring'' from Android to PC. The closest way the system can do this is using the Your phone app, but it will stream the Android audio to your PC as you wish.

You can feel free to look for third-party software, but I find it hard to find something that can do it exactly the way you want it.

I think it's easier for you to look for other means, for example, for which applications exactly do you want the audio from your smartphone to be transmitted to your PC in real time? For Whatsapp, for example, you can use the Whatsapp app on your PC downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

-Feel free to leave your opinion, marking as answered if the answer helped, or leaving more details so that we can continue the service, this is very important to us.

    Graciously,

    Claudeir
