Headset problems and then bluescreen IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Hello,

For the past three days I've been having issues with my headset, small clicks that happen randomly (from 15 minutes between clicks to a few seconds)

I've reinstalled a lot of drivers, uninstalled some, went back to older versions, but the problem was still present.

I've seen people who checked their DPC latency, no problem there as well, I've removed my bluetooth dongle to see if there was interference, even unplugged my third screen, changed wich wall outlet my PC uses - still getting that small click/buzzing noise.

Today, as I was trying to find how to fix the issue, my PC bluescreened with the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error! Maybe this is a way for me to find wich driver was causing the issue.

If someone could help me find a way to read the Minidump file and find a fix to my problem, that would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

    1. Try to perform a clean boot for us to be sure none of the programs/services is causing it.

    1. Try to enable the driver verifier this will stress the drivers and will cause the system to crash. This will help us identify what driver is causing it.

But if it happens after an hour of using it. this can also indicate heat-related or other hardware problems.

    Thanks for the help, Jan.

I've updated all my drivers using the manufacturer's support websites, updated my BIOS, as well as a clean install of my NVIDIA drivers.

The sound stopped for an hour and a half, but they've returned - I've had five in the last ten minutes...

I've looked at my sound mixer to see wich program was making the sound, but no results yet. :(

Thanks for the reply. The dump files do not indicate the exact driver causing the problem. But this error is mostly caused by memory or device driver problems.

    1. If you have added a device recently ensure that you have its latest driver.
    2. Try to reinstall these drivers Chipset, graphics, audio, and network drivers.

Also, check for the latest BIOS updates.

Download them directly from the Manufacturer's support website. If you have any driver updater don't use it to download the drivers.

Install each driver and restart your computer.

Clean install the Nvidia graphics driver.

Download the driver from the Manufacturer's support website.

    and install.

select the "perform clean installation" option then restart your computer.

    1. If you are overclocking or have an XMP profile enabled. Please revert anything back to its default or optimal settings.
    2. Uninstall any third-party antivirus, cleaners, or driver updaters. Fully remove the software using their uninstall utility if there is any.

    Restart your computer.

    1. If the clicking or buzzing sound is heard from the headset. It can be the sound or graphics driver that is causing it. It is also possible that another application is causing it. But if the sound is coming from the computer hardware or laptop, this can be a hardware problem can be a fan/hard disk problem, or can be a GPU fan.

Hello, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. We need the actual .dmp files to analyze what caused the computer to crash/BSOD.

    Please locate this folder.

    C:\Windows\Minidump

Put the files in a zip

    upload the files to Onedrive

    Thank you.
