Your audio interface needs to support BOTH ASIO and Windows audio.
ASIO is only for DAW stuff and Windows apps don't use it.

Hello there!
Something strange has been happening since the release of Win11.
Up to Win10 I was able to use the Asio drivers fine in every kind of situation - that being from simple gaming to intensive music production - but since Win11 it looks like the system has got issues getting a hold onto the drivers.
What that means is that I get loads of audio disruptions - in the form of sound, pop, silence, pop, sound, and so on - as if the system reboots the audio drivers every time to get them work. When I disengage the external drivers, though, no problems arise.
So, if I use the audio interface with an external microphone into a videomessaging app like Meet or Zoom, the I/O settings reboot every minute or so and I'm forced to go the on-screen settings and change them - causing me to lose both mic and haedphones signal.
However, when using a DAW for music production it seems like it's the programme keeping the drivers in check so I encounter no issue whasoever and everything works fine.
I tried updating the drivers or changing audio interface, but that didn't solve anything - also tried to check updates of the system itself or the programmes I use.
Is there anything else I could try?
Thanks a lot for your time.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.
I've just contacted Yamaha to see if they can fix the problem.
Cheers.
Hi
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
I don't know whether users like you have the same problem when using Windows 11. If most people have this problem, it may be the problem of driver adaptation to windows. You can consult the Forum on Yamaha's official website. If so, you may need Yamaha to update the driver adaptation problem. Thank you for your understanding and support.
