Right click an empty part of your Taskbar and turn off 'Show Search Highlights'.
That will remove that annoyance for you.

Ok, just another example of Microsoft sneaking **** in and then not allowing users to have control of their settings.
In the last update for Windows 10 there is now a Bing image in the lower left search bar. I don't **** want it there and there is no way to get rid of it

Hi jtlessons
Okay, please try this, right click an empty spot on the Taskbar, then select Search, do you see that option there?
thank you OP for posting this.
does the think tank at microsoft have nothing better to do other than finding more ways to annoy people with useless nonsense. how about you think of ways to cut the bloat and fat out of windows. do security updates instead of making people think they have viruses.
Right clicked and the option you mentioned is not there.
Hi jtlessons, glad to help!
