Hardware Driver Updates

Hello,

I have several machines with HP updates pending.

  • Hewlett-Packard - USB - 4/8/2019 12:00:00 AM - 1.0.0.237 (listed twice)
  • HP Inc. - WSD Printer - HP Printer (BIDI)

I have downloaded and installed the correct drivers from HP, yet these still show in windows update. I do not want to just hide them. I would like to remove them so they do not keep showing up in our RMM Patch Updates.

Windows 10 - 21H2 - OS Build 19044.1645

Thank you.

Has been going on for a couple of months now. Drivers show they installed successfully in Oct 2021 but Windows keeps trying to install them.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a Windows issue. Not a driver issue. I have installed the device specific drivers from the HP website.

I've done this as well previously. Did it again and Windows still tries to install these updates. I've even told Windows not to update drivers, but somehow, they still keep coming back.

This did not resolve the issue. Windows is still trying to install these outdated drivers.

    Hi PhillipDavis5 -

I'm Kevin B., Thank you for sharing your concern, let me help you sort things out.

Kindly try to run the update troubleshooter to let windows check any issues with the update section of your windows computer. Once windows detected that the updates on the drivers were installed, windows will remove it from the update list.
