Showing "sensitive" content on Phone link app (previously known as "Your Phone" app)

Screen of certain apps such as microsoft teams on phone will be deemed as "sensitive" and thus a dark screen will be shown, rendering the usage of this application (which is to show your phone screen) useless, since you can't see the content currently showing on your phone.

Is there anyway to bypass this "restriction"?

Clearly, even contents that are not "sensitive" is being shown a black screen, such as Microsoft Teams or some other chatting apps.

No one mentioned about keying in private data such as passwords, and even for such situations, if a blank screen is shown, how do u even click on the field and key in password? Furthermore, password fields are not shown as plain text.

It is difficult to draw conclusions as to whether these data are private. Some people think that the view of the chat content is a breach of privacy, or that the view of their own files is a leak of privacy. We may not be able to determine whether it should be counted as privacy, so the current strategy may be that these data that may be private will be blocked.

This leads you to want to use, but not be able to use these functions. We're sorry about this, but this feature may not be able to make some changes due to privacy.

    Thanks for your understanding.

It's not about you, there are people in this world who have sensitive content in chat so this is why MS did this change.

    Hi MostlyCloudy,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you want to use your mobile phone to enter private data such as passwords without showing a black screen in the projection screen on your computer.

It looks like there are no more settings for this feature. When you enter private data, displaying a black screen does prevent your privacy from leaking to a certain extent. This is also the original intention of the design.

Your idea may not be realized for a while, it is not up to us to decide. In most scenarios, if the screen is not black when entering privacy, there is a high probability of revealing privacy.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!
