Windows 11 update - paused with error message "accept software license terms to install updates" - but no info on where to find these terms to accept"

I have a bunch of updates that are "pending install" and at the top there is an error message " accept software license terms to install updates". But no further information is given as to where to go or find these "software license terms" that need to be accepted.

So I'm kind of stuck....

tried the windows update troubleshooter, but that solved nothing.....still have updates pending install waiting for me to accept this mysterious software license terms.

OK - I found the SOLUTION.

At the bottom of the long list of updates that were pending install,

there was a button labeled "NEXT"

I clicked on that , and lo and behold, up popped a window to Accept the Software license(s)

Once I did that, I was able to then click the "install now" button and all the pending installs were then compl;eted.

Simple.......glad I stumbled upon the solution !

    So tried the instructions in the video - downloaded the ISO file, double clicked it to run -> next screen was "getting updates"

    said " Making sure you're ready to install. May take a few minutes"...please wait

    waited about 20 minutes, no change, nothing seems to be happening, so I clicked the top right hand X to quit

    now next screen was " Setup cleaning up"....and stayed on this , seemed to be hung up here, tried to X quit but can't even do that

    Had to shut down the PC and reboot.

    The instructions in that video ( which I still say is for upgrading from windows 10 to 11 after actually watching the video) don't seem to work.

    Any other advice ?

    Dear HikerLT,this process is not for installing Windows 11;

    This process is called InPlace Upgrade;

    It is the process of updating using the Windows ISO;

    I suggest you try this method and see if Windows is up to date;

    See you soon!

    Thanks, but the video in the link above doesn't address my issue.

    That video is about upgrading to install Windows 11 - however in my case , I already have windows 11 installed - it's a brand new build PC, and a fresh install of Windows 11 - so Windows 11 is already installed and running.

    Now when I go to settings -> windows update

    it shows a fairly long list of updates that are pending, and at the top the message states that "Updates available to install. Accept software license terms to install updates". The "install now" button is greyed out and not useable.

    How do I now do this - "accept software license terms"....????????

    Still need an answer and workable solution for this
