Is TotalAV a good Antivirus?

I currently use Malwarebytes (the free one) for scans and etc. Recently it has removed a Trojan, but I want to make sure, and have on demand scanning that could be better. I've seen recommendations for TotalAV and just want to make sure that it is not a scam and is better than Malwarebytes (free).

Have tried TotalAV, but got conflicts with Windows Defender and/or Malwarebytes, (Windows 10).

Removed TotalAV, who now wants to sell me aggressively a license (€ 140/year), in which they ask me to open up links with them, (giving them a possibility to install viruses ?), which I didn't.

For me Windows Defender and (limited) Malwarebytes work without failure (so far?).

    Hi AndrewDemopoulos,

Good day! This is Jhakesong and I will be happy to assist you with this.

TotalAV is a good one and it is a legitimate company. The free version of it though does not provide real time scanning which is definitely important if you prefer to be protected all the time. Their paid version has it. I would stick with windows defender if you don't prefer paying for subscriptions of these third party security software.

Here's a thorough review if you want a good read:

Let me know how it goes. Have a great day!
