Hi, I recently upgraded to Windows 11, and now the enhancement tab is missing in the sound properties. I cannot figure out how to get it back. My laptop is an Acer, I have tried downloading and installing the latest audio driver from their product website but to no avail. Can someone help me with this? Thank you!

    Enhancement tab doesn't exist anymore.

All audio configuration is done via the Realtek Audio Console app.

You can only download Realtek "High Definition Audio Device" drivers like the ones the blog you linked said to get for up to Windows 10, O.P specifically said they were using Windows 11. You should check what you recommended to people before you actually do it.

The app has everything that the enhancement tab has.

If you don't have those options, it means that your laptop has a premium audio package (such as Dolby or DTS or Waves or even Acer's own TrueHarmony). Then additional options are in those apps.

If those apps don't have something like 10 band EQ, then it is because Acer/DTS/Dolby/Waves chose not to give you a 10 band EQ and instead give you some smart presets that you pick (either music or movies or gaming). The fact is that such preset like gaming will alter your EQ to maximize explosion sounds and they decided not to give you a band 10 EQ. If you pick movies preset, it will alter the EQ to maximize dialog.

    Hi Erin_123 -

I'm Jerico T., I understand that you're having some issues right now and I'd be more than happy to help you today.

Let's try to rollback your driver.

    1. Open run box by pressing Windows Key + R and type devmgmt.msc then hit enter
    2. Locate and expand Audio inputs and outputs (do this also to Sound, video and game controllers)
    3. Right-click on the driver and select Update driver
    4. Select Browse my computer for drivers
    5. Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
    6. Select any older driver from the list and click next
    7. Wait for the process to complete, once completed, restart your computer and check if it resolves your issue.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Jerico T.
