mp3 file is 2 hours long but it stops playing after minute 43

I have an mp3 file that is over 2 hours long. It is a recording that I have listened to in the past, so I know it was fine at one time. But now, every time I try to play it in iTunes….it stops around minute 43 and goes to the next song. I can't fast forward past that point even though the timeline shows its over 2 hours long. If I open it in Quicktime or Windows Media Player, it says the file is only 43 min. long. Is this something that can be fixed?

    Hello KerrieN,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

Unfortunately if multiple music players are showing similar issue it is highly likely that the file has been corrupted either during a copy operation or during the moving of the file. It will be unrecoverable in this case.
