Hi Mircosoft,

I've lost USB receiver of my Microsoft sculpt ergonomic mouse and Keyboard. Now I have read elsewhere here that if you have lost it nothing cant be done.

I don't think that is a good thing Microsoft. These items don't come cheap, so how come you have made it such that if you lose the USB you have to spend 100s of $$$ again to buy the whole damn thing? Something like a USB is easily lost or forgotten it had to be something that was replaceable. I cannot understand why that is not the case?

Why would you code the keyboard and mouse and the number pad to one USB such that it cannot be replaced? Isnt that the stupidest thing??? for a company like Microsoft to do???

This is like looting people.

I need to get a replacement you figure out how that is going to happen otherwise I want my money back.

regards

Raakhee

I have the same problem: ive broken my USB dongle in half and I have to buy a new set. It is not envirement friendly.

Microsoft, do you care about envirement and Right To Repair? Please do something about it.

It is really unfortunate Microsoft doesn't have a solution for this, I work in an IT department and as people leave and get moved around we've collected 10+ of these keyboards that are now essentially useless, and we are a small company that thrives itself on sustainability. I will definitely be reconsidering what we purchase going forward based on this.

Is there still no official way to buy a replacement dongle?

I've kept a complete desktop as a spare but, annoyingly, misplaced the dongle. And now I may as well throw it all away? Crazy!

The only option is to get a new one. My choice would be a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse then you will never have that issue again. Just my thoughts...
