Windows Update Troubleshoot Problem

Hi,

Few days ago I updated my windows 11 system, with the updates being:

  1. 2022-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5012643)
  2. 2022-04 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 11 for x64 (KB5012159)

After I restart, my PC starts to lag; it takes a few seconds to load/open files, programs, etc you name it. When I try gaming, it gets jagged and the audio cracks as well sometimes. After I run the windows troubleshoot, here's what I got:

IsPostback_RC_PendingUpdates
IsPostback: False
---
WaaSMedicService
Issue found by:DynamicProtectionPlugin
---

IsPostback: True
---

Thing is I've got no clue what it means. I've tried so many steps too from google (stopped startup apps/programs, deleted unused apps to make memory space, did the DNS 8.8.8.8 thing, etc) but nothing seems to help remove the lag or overcome those issues above.

Anybody know how to solve this?

    Hi,

    Sorry if that didn't help.

    Please try the following.

    1. Use Command Prompt commands.

=> Open Command prompt as Administrator.

    => Type/copy the commands below, enter 1 by 1.

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop cryptSvc

    net stop bits

    net stop msiserver

    ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old

    net start wuauserv

    net start cryptSvc

    net start bits

    net start msiserver

=> Close the Command Prompt and restart your computer then try to update again.

    1. Use System File Checker to check and fix corrupted system files which may be the cause of the issue. Please refer to the link.

After that try to update again.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.

    Hi!

Thanks for the response. I've just finished the restoration process (man that rly was a long one lol), but it seems the problem is still there. Ran the troubleshooter and the same issues are still shown in the report.

Do you have any other solution perhaps? Thanks!

    Hi Thealane,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

Since the issue happened after the recent Windows Update, I will first suggest that you uninstall the recent WIdnows Update or use System Restore to restore your Windows to the point before the issue persists.

Open Control Panel > System and Security > System > System Protection > System Restore then follow screen instructions.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.
