What does Sync Pending mean?

I am using OneDrive. I noticed that when I download something to my word or excel in OpenOffice, some of the status icons are a check mark inside a circle and a few others are 2 arrows forming a circle that say Sync Pending.. Can anyone tell me what Sync Pending means and how do I get what I have saved to
Sync? I can't transfer anything that has a Sync Pending to a disc.

    Sync Pending just means that file is not fully synced to your OneDrive, it may be syncing other files at the moment and will get to that file, it is in the queue to sync, you cannot jump that file up the sync list, it will sync, you just need to wait.

    If you want to manually upload a file to OneDrive, you can drag it into OneDrive in a web browser.

    Right click the OneDrive icon on your Taskbar and open OneDrive settings, do you have Files on Demand enabled?

    Just out of curiosity (and being impatient). How long would it take for a sync pending file to fully synchronize?
