Error code: 0xC004F074

I updated my windows 7 to windows 10 and this error occurred, I have tried almost all ways to fix listed.

we cant activate windows on this device as we cant connect to your organiztions activation server. make sure you are connected to your organizations network and try again. if you continue having problems with activation, contact our organizations support person. This message is shown to me in activation window also the troubleshoot is not working as well as inserting my product key. I have also tried activating through phone but did not work as well. please guide me to fix this problem.

    This error usually occurs if your Windows is activated using a Volume license. This license is commonly used by organizations or schools. To verify kindly follow the steps below.

    1. Click the start menu, then type CMD. Right-click the command prompt then select run as administrator.
    2. In the command prompt type or copy-paste the command below

    slmgr /dlv

    1. Send us the result of what it says on the description or product key channel from the pop-up window.

    Hello neilpzz, thanks for your help. Actually, I upgraded it from Microsoft website and the laptop I am using, got it second hand. So in your opinion what shall I do is there a way of downgrading to windows 7.

    Have you purchased a Windows 10 licence, if so where from. The free upgrade period from Windows 7 to Windows 10 was 2015 to 2016.

    If you purchased a cheap Windows 10 key off the internet it may be for a volume licence which is illegal for a personal user and would be rejected by the activation server.
